She was a member of the Romanian Junior National Team before winning her first major competitive medal at age 14.

She is also a two-time World Cup Balance Beam gold medalist and a one-time Uneven Bars silver medalist.

Her parents supported her gymnastics career growing up in the small town of Galati, Romania.

She hopes to emulate the accomplishments of fellow Romanian Gymnast Nadia Camaneci by eventually winning Olympic gold.
